Dishwasher Problems: Common Questions
We repair faults and fit freestanding or integrated dishwashers. An inspection is needed to confirm the cause.
Why is it not cleaning properly?
Loading, blocked filters or spray arms, detergent and programme choice can affect results. Follow the manual for routine cleaning. Persistent poor cleaning may need pump or heating checks.
Why is water left in the dishwasher?
A blocked filter, waste hose or pump fault may prevent draining. A little water below the filter can be normal; standing water over the base needs attention.
Why is it not heating or drying?
Programme settings, rinse aid or a heating, sensor or control fault may be involved. Wet dishes alone do not prove a heater failure.
What if it leaks or trips the electrics?
Stop using it. Isolate power and water only if safe. Do not repeatedly reset a trip, remove panels or bypass safety devices.
What should I send when booking?
Your postcode, make, model, symptoms and error code. For installation, send photos of the space and connections and say whether it is integrated.
